STEM School for K-8 Grades | Tuition Free Public Charter School

WelcomeOrlando Science Schools is excited to announce its expansion into Osceola County with the Osceola Science Charter School (OSCS). The STEM-focused, tuition-free charter school, approved by the Osceola County School Board, will open this August for the 2016-2017 school year.

The 25,000 square foot campus will be co-located at Avant Garde Academy’s (AGA) new, state-of-the-art facility at 2880 N. Orange Blossom Trail in Kissimmee. Its first year will serve students in grades K-3 and will grow to serve K-5 in the upcoming years.

OSCS will feature small classes, advanced lab courses and high-tech tools such as “smart” whiteboards, 3D printers, and soon to be added tablets for student use. After school activities include Robotics Club, Science Olympiad, Math League, art club, and sports. OSCS also offers a full time Gifted program.

The integration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (S.T.E.M.) curriculum, and a diverse student population, serves to achieve a well-rounded educational experience. Hands-on and project-based learning approaches, along with a research-based curriculum, encourage students to think above and beyond to reach their highest educational goals.
